Creative Stirling currently cannot secure funding because of our absent landlord. This means we cannot host community events or create community spaces and grow as we have planned. With our lease expiring in October, we need the community to support us so that we can buy our building and continue to be a thriving community space.

Having community members will allow us to redefine our organisation so that we can apply to buy our building, secure funding, and continue to do even more great work for our community.

Community buy-in. This would mean that Creative Stirling will become a membership-based organisation. Local people will have a stake in securing the future of 44 King Street, cementing it as a central creative community hub for Mercat Cross and City Centre, and freeing up Creative Stirling to expand and create more opportunities for local artists and residents.

The Mercat Cross area represents everything and everyone we aim to help with our community projects. We are located in the centre of this community area and this makes the Mercat Cross the perfect place to meet our aims and objectives.

As a member of Creative Stirling, you will be invited to all events we host and a monthly newsletter detailing all of our upcoming events and progress. In the near future, when our community membership has helped us to secure funding and growth, there will be exciting new benefits for all members.
