What:

Katie is an award winning makeup artist, wigmaker and painter working in the creative industries for over 15 years (the last three in makeup). 

For the last year she has been working in High End Television and Theatre as a hair and makeup artist/trainee. 

Specialising in character looks, she also offers beauty makeup, editorial makeup and children’s face painting services. 

In this workshop, Katie will be discussing her role within the industry, how she got into makeup artistry and what to expect if you decide to study it too! 

She will then demonstrate how to ‘block out’ eyebrows, an essential skill to learn for makeup artistry…especially if you want to work in the theatre or are interested in drag makeup! 

Creative Youth Assembly is a monthly session for young people to gain skills, meet new people, widen networks and opportunities.
