Creative Stirling along with Stirling Community Media are delivering a media skills course ‘Community and Media Matters’ (CAMM) this Summer.
The course will take place from Monday 22nd July until Thursday 25th July, 10am- 3pm daily. To complete the course, you must commit to all 4 days.
Aimed at young people in secondary school (ages 12+) who have an interest in all forms of media and content creation, and employability.
We will cover the following aspects of media creation:
Planning
Presenting
Production
Podcasting
Promotion
Over the duration of the course, candidates will plan, design, and create their own radio show or podcast which they will receive in digital format upon completion. They will also get a certificate to document their learning and to add to the C.V. and employment portfolios.
The course will be delivered by ‘Ryan RocKs’, a community and radio presenter with many years of facilitation, broadcasting, presenting, performance, and entertainment experience. Ryan is currently a presenter on Castle Sound Radio, a trustee for Stirling Community Media, and is the Community and Media Matters Coordinator for Creative Stirling.
The course will take place at Stirling Community Radio studios, based upstairs in Made in Stirling store. Please note: lunch is not provided.
