This summer, we’re hitting play on fun and providing new and exciting creative learning opportunities for kids and young people in our community!
Across two weeks of creative sessions with healthy lunch included, we will be working with local creatives and partners to host a mix of activities from animation, robotics, photography, fashion, illustration, ceramics & more. Session one will be aimed towards our youth group, ages 13-25, and the other welcoming younger kids ages 5-12. Two of the kids (ages 5-12) sessions will include space for parents to come along to and socialise over a cuppa as well.
We even have some peer led education planned with our youngest Made in Stirling maker, coding wizard & graffiti artist Matthew MacMillan, leading our young people into the world of creative robotics. Hear more about our interview with Matthew here.
Big shout out to Stirling Council’s Summer Fund for subsidising these creative activities for kids and young people, including healthy lunches for out of term time provided by the Kitchen at 44. Creative Stirling is just one of the local delivery partners for the summer fund, alongside our friends at Transition Stirling, Stirling Champs and more.
We are directly in contact with local groups and communities to fill these spaces but have made some available for the 13-25 activities. You can book your space here.
In the meantime, you can help us achieve our charitable objective and keep providing free community events and opportunities by shopping local and attending artist led events at www.madeinstirlingstore.com
