Hit Play on Summer – Creative Programme for Kids and Young People
Round Up of Our Successful Summer ‘Hit Play’ Programme

Gala Day at the Stirling Smith

For our culture connects segment, we are sharing the success of community programmes happening around Stirling.

The Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum was buzzing with activity on Saturday 7 August for their Family Garden Party.  Over 800 people were in attendance to join in the fun which included performances by Merman Tom, Unicorn Dance Party, Creative Electric, Glasgow Circus School, and Rugg Tomcat.  One attendee left some lovely feedback: ‘Garden party was the best and my children were truly entertained.  We did not even notice the rain but remember the fun filled garden with smiling people around us.’

The Family Garden Party was generously funded by Museums Galleries Scotland as part of the Scottish Government’s Get into Summer programme, supporting opportunities for children and young people to socialise, play, and reconnect this summer.

Check out some pictures below that we think capture the excitement of the day!
