Afternoon Tea for Eat Well Age Well Research

On Thursday 29th of August from 12-4pm, we are hosting a small social event with delicious afternoon tea for people age 65+ at the Made in Stirling Hub at 44 King Street. We are keen to reach those who benefit from the local charity Food Train but anyone over 65 is most welcome to come along. Researchers from Glasgow University will be on hand seeking candidates to do a short interview. Taking part is optional but we’d be very pleased if you can contribute to this important work to help others in the community.

As well as music, chat and even the possibility of a bit of dancing in our gallery space, you can enjoy viewing our new exhibition ‘Radical Weave’ and meet weaver Mairi Breslin as well as others behind Stirling’s new creative community hub. Afternoon tea, with home baking and other treats will be provided by Sara McMillan, who will be running the new hub’s new community kitchen.

Taxis can be provided for participants who may need transport on the day. Please get in touch to register your interest in taking part. We hope you will join us on the 29 August.

Drop into the MIS hub at 44 King Street, call 01786 357 550 or e-mail to sign up.
