Having worked within other Scottish Arts organisations for a number of years, and being a passionate advocate for lifelong learning, media literacy, audience development in arts and culture, she decided to follow her instinct to devise and lead a new model of arts organisation that would both benefit the community and the local economy, whilst providing employment opportunities to young creatively-oriented people.
Mark is a Technical and Production manager currently plying his trade at Macrobert Arts Centre in Stirling. His involvement with Creative Stirling came about due to his willingness to give some knowledge and expertise to a crazy collection of artists and likeminded people he affectionately refers to as the ‘Moomins’.
He has toured extensively internationally, collecting a wealth of stories and experiences, smoked and joked with Bill Hicks, met Vaclav Havel, drank with Nick Cave, watched football with Tommy Gemmell, but has never spent time in a Turkish Jail.
