Who is Martha?
Martha lives by the sea… Martha lives alone… Martha doesn’t need anyone…
She is stubborn, eccentric and highly independent.
Who are Martha’s friends?
Not her next door neighbour. Not her helpful postman. Nor her secret admirer from across the bay.
One day Martha has an unexpected visitor and her life will never be the same again.

A boy on the run. A listening crow. A man who wants to be lost. The story of two people struggling; a boy and a man, told through poetry and stark reality in text, film and soundscape. As our world becomes more disparate and broken, it questions if our children and young people are being systematically and ideologically let down by society.

Jamie MacDonald: Blinkered

Macrobert Arts Centre
Fri 7 Sep, 7.30pm

Blind Jamie is taking a long hard look at this blinkered world. Gender is becoming one homogenised dull sex, baby-boomers lament the lack of manners from cold-calling millennials while they slam down their phones on them and disabled people are being made to score points to get their benefits as if they're on some horrendous game show. This is a sharply focused comedy show delivered with a jaunty smile and a squinty eye!
