Scottish Opera - Cosi fan tutte at Macrobert Arts Centre

Love is in the air in this stylish operatic romcom. But, as our two young couples are about to find out, the path of true love rarely runs smooth.

Ferrando and Guglielmo are deeply in love and are sure their fiancées feel the same. That is until the roguish Don Alfonso bets them he can prove that all women are fickle. He persuades each man to seduce the others wife-to-be, leading them along a path of deception and disguise. The women resist at first, but a bit of Don Alfonso’s trickery is enough to spark talk of a double wedding…

Poetry, Doric, wild horses & song - Spectretown

Inspired by the bothy ballads of Scotland’s North East, playwright Elspeth Turner (The Idiot at the Wall, 2012) and acclaimed director Matthew Lenton (Vanishing Point) explore the fraying boundaries between past and present in this dark tale of a family's buried secret. Weaving poetry, Doric, and song, this courageous new play deftly wrestles with tradition, power, and the loneliness of modern life.
