Fresh from its run at the edinburgh Festival Fringe, experience the true story of seven teenagers with a cause - Glasgow Girls - the story of one of the most vocal and powerful asylum campaigns to catch the imagination of the Scottish media and to inspire a community to unite behind its residents.
Glasgow Girls follows a group of seven teenage girls whose lives are changed forever when they arrive at school one day to be told that one of their friends - and her asylum seeking family - have been forcibly taken from their home to be deported. After the initial shock of this news has worn off, these feisty young women are galvanised to take a stand and to fight for the life of their friend, her family, and, ultimately for the rights of all children of asylum-seekers in Scotland.
Glasgow Girls is more than just a play, a collection of songs or a trip to the theatre; it’s a celebration - and proof that young people have the power to change the world!

'True raw power' - THE METRO
'The kind of explosion of great popular theatre that every city and every nation needs, from time to time, to remind it of what it is, and what it might become' - THE SCOTSMAN
'Staged and performed with an integrity that makes it the most politically engaged and enraged British musical since Blood Brothers, but it is even more raw and heartbreaking because it is entirely true.'
