We are pleased to announce that Made in Stirling will be opening its doors on the high street again.

Made in Stirling offers local designers, makers, artists and artisans the opportunity to sell their product on the high street. The shop sells a wide and varied range of artwork made solely by people who are either from / living in Stirling and the surrounding area. Originally set up as part of an initiative to utilise vacant properties in the City Centre, the shop has now been running since July 2012 and has been hosted in three spaces so far.

Over the Christmas period Creative Stirling worked with the Thistles Centre to host the shop in one of their vacant units. This resulted in our most successful venture to date. The decsion was made to close the shop to take its first break since opening two years ago to evaluate the whole structure and look for a more permenant site. Creative Stirling worked with local artists to find out how they would like to see Made in Stirling develop.

All this work has been going on behind the scenes as we have been looking for a new venue, and finally we have secured a new home. Opposite Crema Cafe on Murray Place, what was once a travel agency will now house a showcase of local talent. We will be releasing details of the opening soon. Look out for us and pop in to say hello.
